Have you ever noticed an unusual business name and wondered about the story behind it? What about Amazon? Starbucks? Zillow? I get that question a lot with my business...Oak Moon Photography.

I decided I wanted a name that was truly unique when I started my wedding photography business, but I also wanted a name that had personal meaning. My husband is second-shooter with me at weddings and his name means 'oak tree' in Hebrew. My name means 'goddess of the moon' in Greek mythology.

It only seemed natural to use the two together and name the business Oak Moon Photography.
