It has been my experience as a professional wedding photographer that most brides already know exactly what they want by the time they begin to plan their wedding…and Heather was no exception. Because she planned to be married at Sandbridge Beach, it was important for Heather to have her bridal portrait photographed there as well.

I met with an excited Mishaell to finalize the details of her bridal portrait session scheduled at the First Lady of Suffolk. A spectacular 8,000 square foot home located in historic downtown Suffolk, it was built in 1907 and has since been fully restored to its original grandeur. Each room has a unique personality and the thematic possibilities are endless. It is truly a bridal photographer’s dream come true.

I am thrilled that Jenna is now married so I can share some of the photographs from her bridal session with you. We chose the Town Center of Virginia Beach as the location for the photo shoot and Jenna was so excited. As a wedding photographer, it was so much fun to work with Jenna. She was also a real trooper when the temperature decided to make a run toward the lower end of the thermometer on the day of her bridal portrait session.

Carrie’s decision to use the historic Branch House in Richmond for her bridal portrait worked out great. Currently included in the National Registry of Historic Places, it was built in on picturesque Monument Avenue in 1916. We had it all to ourselves on a Saturday afternoon to photograph the bridal session and wound up using several great locations throughout the property.
